*2011 season edition*
I must confess that I'm a little surprised that it's already this time of year. It seems like such a quick turn around and feels like we were just in the region tournament last May/June. These months have surely FLOWN by.
Here's a few confessions this first week to start off the season:
-Our freezer is loaded, stocked, and ready! With frozen chicken nuggets, cabinets filled with spaghetti o's and mac and cheese, and the fridge has a few lunchables for game day quick to-go meals.
-Must confess that I'm cringing thinking about laundry piling up from so much layers of clothes Josh will go through in one week with school and practice. Not only that, but I'm going to lose my clothes washer aka: Josh. No joke ladies, not sure if it's b/c I'm preggo or if he's just on a role, but this Coach has done laundry on his own for probably a straight 2 months.
-I have to confess I am NOT looking forward to putting Jackson down for bed without Josh on late game nights. There won't be many, however J is SUCH a huge Daddy's boy and Josh and I both normally lay him down for bed together. Bedtime will not be easy without Daddy.
-I ironically am looking forward to mine and Jackson usual spot on the grass at Spartan Field where it's in the middle of the stands and potty/food concessions. That's right, we have a fence too so my little one can't dart out on the field and start practicing cornerkicks himself.
-I'm not going to lie, when 3:30pm came around Monday afternoon I had butterflies in my stomach. Excitement and anticipation for a great season.
-I got up 30 minutes early, that's right people, 30 minutes early and made my boys breakfast Monday morning for a good start to tryout week. It may have not been much opening the can to the orange danishes and putting them in the oven (then passing out on the coach waiting on them) but me waking up 30 minutes earlier than I have to is BIG,...BIG people!
-I am super pumped that my wonderful husband has decided to put in some extra time on the weekday practices to give everyone off on Saturdays. Not just a nice break for the gals but also for us too. Now we have him all weekend. This soccer wife is super excited.
-I am looking forward to bi-weekly dinner dates with my fellow soccer wives club and kiddos. Chuck-e-cheese watch out, Spring season is underway and here we come!!!!
-I am looking forward to the annual program dinner Monday night. The entire SHS women's soccer program with their families eat and fellowship with each other kicking off the season. Always nice to see the excitement with the girls and getting to know their families.
-Lastly, I confess I am such a proud Soccer Wife. Josh puts so much time and dedication into this program, team and to developing each of the girls. Hoping to help them as players on the field and also as just good people off the field. As much as I do get "burnt out" of soccer season every now and then, I am so lucky to have a husband that loves what he does and has such a passion and heart for it. He makes Jackson and I a part of it and I love that even more.
Here's to a great 2011 season! :)

Mommy Jackson Week!
This week has been tryouts for spring sports which means Josh has been a little later coming home due to tryouts, picking teams, and first practices. It's been a week for Mommy/Jackson bonding time! Here's some highlights from our week from my phone:
Jackson has had this one monkey (the one on the right) since he was a baby. I found one at the store this week that was brand new and bought it for a back up just in case. Please tell me I'm not the only mom that does this. BTW: HUGE difference in color and texture. Poor Monkey.
Jackson and I took a trip to Michael's with Ma on Wednesday. She''s completely redoing their house with painting and decorating, looks fabulous by the way, and stumbled upon a P Buckley Moss picture she forgot she had. So we went out with her to get it professionally framed. Jackson of course got restless so we shopped around the Easter section. I think he may have learned this "cute face" from Sam!
Lastly, on the photo reel is what Josh and I both found last night. Lately, J has wanted his privacy going potty so we'll let him be for a few minutes and come back and check on him. We heard some papers russling and I'm like, "great what's he into now"....Josh goes to check on him and this is what he finds...
Apparently taking care of business is easier while staying updated on the Kardashian sisters!

Whistle while we work.
This year Valentine's Day was celebrated a little bit more in the Jones' household. Jackson got to do his first valentines. He was super excited to fill them out for all his friends at school and even more thrilled to do the red heart stickers to keep them shut. Ah, the small things in life that are so joyful! :)
Working so diligently to get the heart sticker on perfect.
I even got a little treat on Valentine's Day myself. My sweet little valentine sprinted into my work with a 1/2 bent rose (from the battle getting out of the car and through the doors with it) for me plus some pretty cool sport stickers that Josh said was completely necessary for Jackson to buy for me. Who are you kidding, we know they are for Jackson. It was a very nice surprise and Jackson was so proud of himself. Josh even got a homemade dinner by yours truly. That's right I attemped baked spaghetti (that actually was enough to feed his entire soccer team) for the first time along with some special recipe I found for red velvet cupcakes, his favorite. Yummy! Who said you had to spend money to have a special Valentines day??

Goodbye Winter!
This is a happy hoping that Winter is officially over,...or at least hoping that the snow is over! We have had such WONDERFUL weather this week, it's been such a tease for spring. So hear are some pics of us in the snow and special wishes that it's the last we'll see it this year!
Is this not proof how I get treated with a home full of boys!? Look at that snow ball coming right towards my lens, oh I mean MY FACE!

Too much to say Tuesday...
So Saturday we were flipping thru the channels and we saw some ice skating special thing on TV. Jackson was completely engaged in watching it so we left it on for a little bit while doing some things around the house. Next thing we knew we saw him put on his special "skates" and start twirling around and speeding down the hallway! Pretty creative I guess,...who knew toliet paper could be such a physical activity!
