Turkey Time

This past Thursday I joined Jackson for his first school Thanksgiving meal. It was so much fun. He was super excited. Mal, Grandmommy, and Poppop joined us as well. It was so nicely put on by the staff at his daycare and the staff of the Church. They had a slide show up on two screens of pics of all the kids too. It was so cute! We ended up sitting with one of his buddy's Mason and his parents. After chatting for a little while, Ma noticed that Jackson and Mason are like 4th cousins. Josh's response to that was, "I guess down the line we're all cousins eventually" haha, I thought it was ironic. Here's some pics from our fun lunch together!

Jackson's place mat for the meal that we took home. He made it. I'm sure with a little help! ;)

Hope everyone has a nice and safe Thanksgiving!

Who doesn't love a good deal?!

Want a good deal on some Christmas cards?? Click here:

Thanks to my blogger buddies, I'll be getting 50 Christmas cards for FREE! We are all "users" of Shutterfly and boy do we love it. I've used Shutterfly for so much stuff! I started ordering about 2 1/2 years ago when Jackson was born. I got his birth announcements done through them and continued on to order calendars (http://www.shutterfly.com/calendars/wall-calendars) every year for Ma for Christmas, photo books for wedding gifts, and just regular prints! It's so easy to just upload your pictures from your computer and they either send them directly to you or you can pick them up at target. So easy! Here's some of the Christmas cards I like:
I love the black and white cards....so classic!

I also like these 2, very cute and simple, with pretty holiday color:

Now I just have to decide which one we like the best and start taking some pictures for them! :)

Click here to look at the entire selection:

Enjoy! Let me know which ones you like and decide on! So excited for the holidays and so excited to get a great deal from Shutterfly!

Fire Pit Fun!

For the past few weekends we've had such a nice time getting the fire pit out and roasting smores and buscuits on a stick. As most of you know, fall is my absolute favorite and I love going outside and sitting by the fire on a cool night! Especially when we are accompanied with some pretty cool friends too! :)

Our boyscout of the evening.

Do not try to steal Rach's marshmellows!

You may end up like this, just ask Ryan.

Scary Monster

Josh and I grew up trick or treating every Halloween. So now that we have Jackson, we of course wanted to let him do the same as a child. Jackson was beyond excited to get dressed up in his "hokie uniform". We decked out his outfit with his jersey, eye black, and his nike shoes to make him look more official. We met up with Zack, Meghann, and Ryan to go around from house to house. Jackson was super pumped!

At the very first house....J wanted to go up to the door all by himself. He wanted to show baby Ryan how it was done and all. However little did we know what would meet him at the door. Two houses down from us was the house he chose to go to first and the man came out to give our sweet 2 year old candy in the most horrifying mask ever made and sold in stores! I mean lets have a little sympathy...look at my sweet boy going up all by himself just to be scared to death for the next months to come! It's a good thing Meghann and Ryan were behind him because I have never seen my child so scared...he clung to them! Even now, 2 weeks later he talks about the "scary monster" and points to the house. And people, let me put this in perspective for you, it's on our street. Doesn't really help that he can't get it out of his head. We've tried to calm down the comments with that it was just a pretend mask and he was just trying to be silly. Working so far I guess.

Despite the fright of the first house, we did still have a good time. Jackson would not go to any other house by himself. He also asked if there was a scary monstor at each house. Needless to say we only went down 2 streets.

Any good pro football player has to have a cutie-patotie rah rah with him! Duh!

Sarah's Senior Session

A few weekends ago I did my very first "photo shoot". Sarah is one of Josh's soccer gals who is a senior and we are really close with her family. I had SO much fun doing these. We just went around one Sunday afternoon to several different places, real casual! Love doing pictures in the fall,...especially since it's my favorite season. Sarah is so incredibly beautiful and extremely photogenic. She made my job so much easier than it would have been. Check them out and leave some thoughts. I would love to do this part-time. It's something I love doing and I have such a good time with it! Thanks Sarah!
