Thank you Shout!

So thankful for good stain removers.

We just bought Jackson a new bathing suit and he is definitely making sure our Shout works when we wash our laundry! After his bday party on Saturday he decided the fun was yet to be over. He decided to use the sidewalk chalk plus the puddle of water to be artistic. He not only made a work of art on our driveway but also ALL over his new suit and himself!

Getting ready to get hosed down!

Ca-chow!

This past Friday we took Jackson to see his first movie! It fell nicely along with his birthday and festivities, couldn't have planned it better myself. His bday was Thursday, movie night was Friday and his party was Saturday. We had a wonderful weekend of celebrating our little 3 year old.

To my surprise he lasted the entire movie! Half way through he started getting restless but nothing a pack of Cars fruit snacks didn't take care of. We had a great time.

Stay tuned for bday party pictures...

3 years

Dear Jackson:

Has it really been 3 years?!

3 years ago my life changed forever. You graced us with your beautiful presence at 6:01pm after 18 hours of labor. I still remember the first time I saw you. Your Daddy was so sweet. Having a c-section he could see you before me, but he waited by my side to see you the same time as me! I remember holding you for the first time knowing our lives would never be the same...

You are the biggest blessing we could have ever imagined. I thought your Daddy was the goofiest person I would ever meet. I was wrong. You are so stinking silly. You and your quirky faces and expressions. Goofy sounds and words that you and him decide to make up and have their own meaning to that just you two know. You could fill up a notebook of all the games you two make up. You are all about activity. It surprises me we don't have to get you a new pair of nikes for you monthly. You never stop. GO GO GO! You love going to all sorts of ball games. In fact if you know when they are and they are cancelled for any reason you are seriously bummed out! You want to climb on any and everything and jump off of it after you get there. Which sometimes surprises me b/c I do call you my sensitive little flower sometimes because you can't stand bugs. You whine if there's the slightest piece of lent in your bath water. Again, just like your Daddy. You are a mini version of him. I remember writing you a letter last year stating how much you were like him. Now that another year has gone by I actually see a few things of me finally starting to come out in you. We are both stubborn and emotional. We are both definitely not morning people and knowing this your Daddy plays referee on most Sunday mornings before church. You love to watch the same favorite movies over and over again and listen to the same song over again just like me. Even your favorite mickey episodes that we DVR'd. You are a lot like your momma loving coffee. If you see that Grandmommy has a cup not supervised you dart right to it and chug it down! You are such a sweet and caring little boy. So polite with your "yes ma'am", "please"&"thank you", and if we are in conversation or on the phone you always say "excuse me" to get our attention. You have been such a big help with preparing for your little brother. You say how later you'll do certain things with "your baby". I can't wait to see you two together.

Buddy it has been my greatest joy being your Momma for the past 3 years!

I love sweet boy!

Mommy

Your name might be Jackson...

...if you decide to take your Sunday afternoon nap in a laundry basket on your bed!

We were washing Jackson sheets on Sunday and offered for him to sleep in our bed for naptime after Church. He kindly declined the offer and said he wanted to sleep in the laundry basket. Josh and I laughed it off thinking we'd go in there in 5 minutes and find him playing and make him go sleep in our bed. WRONG. The kid actually fell asleep and stayed asleep for 2 hours like this! He's definitely his daddy's child! :)

2011 Season

Ryan sent me some pictures from the region semi final game on Wednesday that a photographer took. Some are really good and I wanted to share. The girls fought SO hard but lost :(

I hate for this season to be over! This team has been SO special. This particular group of seniors has been a rare breed! So unselfish, so humble, hardworking, dedicated, passionate, and so incredibly deserving of a state title! These ladies are irreplaceable in our hearts and we will miss them greatly! Looking forward to see what God has in store for them in college and for some of them even for their soccer career continuing!

Our all district player of the year-Kim! :)

Ryan & Bre (4 year starter in the goal)

Rachel (Josh's assistant) and her sister Sarah (who was a senior captain)

One good lookin' coach if you ask me! ;)

Congrats on a great season ladies. We love you all!

Confessions of a soccer wife

Confessions of a soccer wife: *May/June Edition*

*I have to confess that I'm a little shocked High School ball is almost over. It has flown by. As being almost a soccer "widow" in the spring (hehe jk), I am not looking forward to the end of this season. Josh has had such a wonderful group of girls and parents for that matter. This year's group of seniors have been such a blessing to the program I hate to see them leave. I know that's selfish of me, but the Jones family will miss them!

*I cannot even believe I've been pregnant for 28 weeks, it's kind of crazy. Hello 3rd trimester!

*I must confess that it has taken me almost 3 weeks to paint the baby's room and I'm still not finished. I think having an almost 3 year old makes the process slower. I can't paint while he is awake or in the house b/c then it will be Jackson's work of art. I'm a bit of an anal painter.

*I am super proud of myself for fixing our toliet paper roll holder in mine and Josh's bathroom. Nevertheless it has already fallen off 3 times since I fixed it, but Hey! I tried!

*I celebrated my 4 years at Kane's this month! Ma took me to lunch at Mama Maria's. Another craving of this pregnancy=their lunch buffet. YUMMY! So thankful for my job and my bosses :)

*We have successfully setup Jackson's new room! Whew what a relief,...that was definitely on the long "before baby comes to do list". Yes that does mean that his old dresser and his changing table that was STILL in his room are just hanging out in our living room upstairs, but what family doesn't have random furniture all over the place!?

*I MUST confess that I was super bummed to see Casey and James get voted off of American Idol. I love the new judge panel this year and I finally started voting myself. Obviously didn't help b/c my top two men are gone. Might I add that I am also bummed b/c my husband will not take me on the top 13 tour this summer! Yes call me and American Idol geek but I wanted to see this group on tour. The only dates they come around VA and NC is within like 3 weeks of my due date and Josh forbids me to travel! BOO hiss!

*Lastly I must confess that I am super pumped that we have less than 2 weeks til we are at the beach. Not looking forward to the heat (or drive) being pregnant but I am so looking forward to just getting away and spending time with my family. This will be our last trip before we are a family of 4 and hoping to have some real special moments with eachother before this new adventure with 3 boys begins! (PS: gotta confess that the baby is totally craving some steak n shake chili)

Happy June! :)
