*Confessions of a soccer wife*

*July Edition*

*I must confess that after 11 days of having our first family fish, it has now gone to fishy heaven.

*I must confess I'm finally getting into the whole pregnancy nesting period with less than 4 weeks left.

*I must confess that my baby will have a pink closet! I painted the room blue with the help of Mom, however didn't get to the closet. Sorry Kiptyn, one day you can choose a different color!

*I'll also confess that I made my first cobbler this week. Yes I am a "Homemaker wannabe" at heart sometimes. It was actually pretty tastey! Watch out Paula Dean!

*I need to confess that in December Josh and I will probably be outside the door of the new coming Steak N Shake in Roanoke VA! Wahoo! It was finally in the paper, it's official!

*I must confess that my engagement ring is finally too snug to fit. I hate that! I feel like I'm missing something all day long! :( At least my wedding band is fitting...for now.

*I confess that the Jones family is thoroughly enjoying Ma and Daddy having their pool open for summer! :) I've been 2-3 times a week at least!

34 weeks

How Far Along: 34 weeks and 5 day

Name (official,...finally): Kiptyn Kane

Movement: All the time

Cravings: New berry almond chicken salad (w/ no almonds) from Wendys and a baked potato! YUMMY! I have this for lunch at least once a week.

Sleep: Hard time getting to sleep. Just uncomfortable now. Still wishing that we had mandatory nap times at work! :)

Symptoms: braxton contractions=boo! Much earlier than with Jackson. Even feel some in my back every now and then.

Best Moment this week: Spending some time in the baby's room with the boys. We started positioning the furniture this week and putting items in drawers trying to get organized. My favorite moment though was last night when Jackson decided he wanted to share his "friends" (all his fav stuffed animals) with the baby so he placed them in "his baby's bed". He also took monkey and practiced rocking him in the glider. Definitely a sweet moment!

Looking forward to: Next appt on Thursday the 21st. Discussing a vbac or csection with the doctor. I think we are going to plan on a vbac.

Our new family member

No I haven't had the baby yet, still have less than 6 weeks to go!

However, we do have a new member of the Jones family! We went to the Salem Fair over a week ago and I am pleased to announce that our new member has actually lived 8 days with us successfully. Josh and I placed bets on how long it would last. Awful, I know. But introducing....

Jackson Howard Jones! .....

No not the cutie in the picture looking at the fish,...that's the fish's name! I'm still forcing "Nemo" on him when I talk about him but unfortunately the 3 year old keeps correcting me!

As opposed as we were to take the fish home from the fair and not leave it for some other kid to win, we thought it be a good lesson for Jackson.

#1: b/c he has to take care of it. Feed it, help Mommy clean the tank (b/c we KNOW Daddy ain't going to)

#2: it will also give us the opportunity to explain to him things we haven't had to yet whenever "Nemo" goes to fishy Heaven. We have heard fish don't live long (like we would know that), so we did sit down with him and tell him that starting off too.

Cross your fingers,...hopefully the name Nemo will catch on sooner or later!

J's bday party

We had Jackson's party on a Saturday at the end of June and had such a great time. We had it outside at our home so Josh could make an all out Jones water park for the kiddos. I don't know who was more excited in preparation for the party,...Jackson or Josh! Daddy had all the water toys out and hooked up the day before doing a trial run to make sure everything was blown up and water was working correctly. It was so cute!

We had such a wonderful time celebrating him turning 3 with our family and friends. SO incredibly thankful for these wonderful people in our families' lives!

*Warning: Picture overload*

Josh and the kids plotting on which adult will get to be the target of the water balloons!

Tony was one of the targets!

Sam had a broken water balloon in his hair for most of the party! :)

Awesome cake made by Jane!
