27 weeks

How Far Along: 27 weeks and 1 day (almost 3rd trimester)

Total Weight Gain: 14lbs

Name Possibility: Kiptyn Kane

Movement: Mostly as I'm getting to bed or while I'm eating

Cravings: Fountain Coke from Sheetz or McDonalds

Sleep: No trouble staying asleep but hard time getting to sleep. Wishing that I could have nap time at work! :)

Symptoms: heartburn, ugh! Never had much of it with Jackson.

Best Moment this week: 4D ultrasound, very cool experience. Showed Jackson the picture of the 4D ultrasound and he asked if his baby was a cat! It was the picture with the baby's hand up to his face. Too funny!

What I am looking forward to: Finishing painting baby's room and getting everything setup in it

4D

We had our appointment yesterday to get a 4D ultrasound for baby boy and it was so neat. Plus it was FREE!! With Jackson it was $200 at the doctor we were seeing at the time and we didn't have that kind of cash flow so this was our first time doing it. The baby was being a little stubborn and if you see blurry things against his face they said that was him against my placenta (sorry if that's gross). Also got to do the fun sugar drink that wasn't too bad at all. Doctor said everything looked good. We see him again in 4 weeks then we start going every 2 weeks. Wow this pregnancy is flying by.

Warning: Picture overload

Goodbye Toddler bed :(

Thank you walmart.com! Jackson's furniture was ordered online (walmart site to store $0 Shipping) and put together by the guys at walmart! We got Jackson a new twin bed, night stand, and dresser. Getting the mattress was the coolest part. It was shipped in a regular box and this is how it was rolled up: Would you not have thought that was a little sketchy? We did.

We rolled it out and it immediately filled with air and came to form. Coolest thing ever people, no joke! We were all amazed!

We spent the evening after work getting his old stuff out and his new stuff setup while he was playing at his buddy, Dawson's house. That way when he came home, it was a surprise.

..and boy was he excited!!! :)

Snoozing perfectly fine, what a big boy!

The morning after=Success :)

For the record, go back up a few pictures and take a look at the picture of his bed. Look closely at the headboard bookcase that we thought was really neat. By the time we had it in the room we were placing bets on how long it would take J to climb up on top of it and jump on his bed. Well we did the "unveiling of the room" Tuesday evening and the monkey jumping started on Saturday. Only took the kid 4 days.

Hoping for more sleeping moments in the bed instead of hearing thumping of him falling off it (or jumping off it).

Easter

So behind on blogging but here are some pics of our Easter this year.

We had so much fun dying Easter eggs for the first time. Yes Jackson is almost 3 and we hadn't dyed eggs with him, horrible parents aren't we! We found some old egg dying packages from what we meant to do last year so the color wasn't too great on the eggs,...I think Jackson's fingers were colored more than the eggs!

Rachel's egg work:

Ryan's 1 egg:

Jackson probably did a dozen himself. He loved the fact that there were silly face stickers to go on the eggs after coloring them!

After about an hour we finally made Josh dye an egg. It had to be the entire family participating!

Our finished products. Oh and by the way while finding the egg dying kits we also found maybe 20 Easter baskets in our attic. How in the world we had that many I have no idea, but goodwill they are coming your way!

My beautiful eggs!

Jackson's Easter basket full of goodies.

Wow, the hair fairy must have been with the Easter bunny on his trip this year!

Sweet "baby Ryan" at Easter lunch.

Jackson was super pumped to get a rocket from Auntie Meghann and Uncle Zack for Easter. They totally outdid the Easter bunny!

Hunting for "eggys"!

1st school bus ride!

Jackson was stoked last Friday. Josh had said if his girls won their game, that Jackson could ride the bus back to the school with them. They were just at Cave Spring, but still,... 15 minutes on a bus for a preschooler is pretty big! Luckily for Jackson (and the girls), they beat Cave Spring, so off Jackson goes on the school bus!

A bus trip could not be completely enjoyed if his buddy, Dawson wasn't along for the ride :)

Big boys! Is it sad I am already dreading him going to Kindergarden!

Watch out, Jackson is at the wheel!

Needless to say, Jackson is hoping for a few more wins on the rode so he can enjoy more bus rides with Daddy and "Daddy's soccer girls"!

Meaghan's Shower

Meaghan and Kenneth are married! :)

Meaghan has been one of my best friends since 7th grade, we go back 14 years! I even found these old pics on my computer...take a looksee....

That's me on the right just in case you couldn't tell, I use to be skinny.

Yes that's right, we were cool in high school. We could rock the leopard cowboy hats! Don't be jealous!

Well Meaghan and Kenneth were "high school sweethearts" (Meaghan I know you're rolling your eyes while reading that-haha) and I am so happy that I got to be a part of their wedding last month! Here's a picture of them back in high school:

I'm completely behind but here's some pictures from her shower! It was at Hidden Valley Country Club and it was so nice! View of the golf course, great lunch, and just a fun time to celebrate the upcoming wedding! :)
