A Cars Christmas

Like I said before, I am behind,...more Christmas posts!!
This Christmas, we woke up in VA with SNOW! A white Christmas! :)
We started out our morning with reading from the Bible in Luke, Josh even used the Nativity scene as a prop for Jackson, which by the way was super cute! Hands down, most special time of our day. Reflecting on the true reason for celebrating Christmas!

PS: Don't judge me for not brushing Jackson's hair, I know it's crazy.

For the past couple years Josh and I have done little gifts but trying to be creative doing so. So from Jackson to Josh I made a photo book from shutterfly.com for FREE. Shh don't tell him that. It was so cute b/c it's all pictures of just the 2 of them for the past 2 1/2 years. It was really special and I think he really loved it!

Well done Jackson...not even 3 yet and you can use the world wide web to make Daddy a photo book! Hats off to you!

On another note, I titled this blog entry "cars Christmas" b/c that's exactly what our little boy got! Cars galore!
Cars, racing tracks, remote control cars, cars table and chairs, pillow, sleeping bag, matching game...etc. Our big present we got him was a cars bike!

Needless to say, he was pumped and immediately was wheeling around the living room. Check out the super cool knee pads! Rock it buddy!

Josh got a ping pong table from his mom and immediately him and Zack were putting it together in the garage to duel off!

We are so blessed beyond measure! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and here's to a fabulous 2011! :)

Nashville

For the next couple posts, you'll probably be seeing me doing my catch up of December/Christmas. I know I'm like a month behind, but can I pull out the preggo card for this one??
Every year before Christmas we head down to Nashville to spend some much needed family time with Josh's Aunt, uncle, and cousins. Boy do we always have an awesome time! This year we were so nervous b/c we were leaving the night that Salem was suppose to get all the snow. We left just in time and only hit bad weather about an hour or so outside of Nashville.
We got to do so much fun stuff! Had time to RELAX, went to the Opryland hotel, had fun playing games and just spending time with family we only get to see once or twice a year.
Here's Jackson and Landry (Josh's cousin's son). Landry is a year older than Jackson and they had a ball together!!
The Opryland Hotel.

Cousins and brothers.

Okay, before you see the next picture, do not tell my husband I have these on the worldwide web! We got selected for a game to compete against Jake and Christy to make the best Santa costume with just white felt, scissors, and red streamers! We had like 10 minutes to complete.

Here's Jake, Christy, and Josh:

I did not let my husband down! We won,..best Santa. Hey if Josh decides to go out of teaching and coaching I think the big man himself has a good understudy! :)

More pics:

This was Ryan's first TN trip. I think we all wore her out!

Already can't wait til next December! :)

Making Room for...

...one more stocking next year!

Jackson is going to be a big brother!

Josh and I went to our appointment Monday and I am 8 weeks along and due on Aug. 25th! They said everything looked good as far as they can tell! :) Praying for a healthy baby to welcome in August!

Desperate...

Obviously, he had to be desperate to play some bball with the boys...I mean, the poor guy didn't bring his own gear so who's bedroom dresser are the boys shuffling through to find him something to wear?? MINE! Couldn't have gotten a pair of Josh's billion of other sweatpants and wind pants b/c he has TONS for soccer, No sir, had to break out Kelly's pants. Not on Kelly's pants but ones that are cutesy pj pants my Ma got me from ESPN Zone. They even have ESPN on the tushie. Work it, Chris, work it!
This year, we hosted our first Thanksgiving/Christmas with our friend family, yet it was our 4th annual I believe. We finally have a bigger home, yet I still felt like we needed more room-hehe! We had such a wonderful time getting together with the Dowdys, Collins, and Wolfords! So thankful for our friendship!
We had to borrow a "kiddie table" from Ma b/c there wasn't enough room at the adult table: 8 adults plus with 2 sweet babies: Braylen and Emery. So...we trusted the "big" kids enough to only be in maybe 2 adults' view to eat and behave by themselves. Don't they look all grown up and responsible already??

Negative. I think someone went to go fill their plate for seconds and this is what we found in the kitchen. Charley bug still eating...and not just off of her plate, but for the 3 others too. Don't worry Charley they appreciate you cleaning their plates so they can have dessert!

This is where we found the other 3! Not surprised!

All in all, even with the crazy hectic moments, we had a great time! :)

I knew this day would come!

Proof right here blogger stalkers!
I, Kelly, have beaten my husband at bowling. His first round with the boys he definitely stunk it up real nice. Look at that "27" score! Yep, that's the man I married. Shame I didn't take a picture of my score but my ladies can vouch, first game,...I beat Josh! Now the second game is a different story, but I have proof! :) First game I beat him!

Well, just b/c he couldn't bowl a first round doesn't mean this man doesn't have more than a couple things going for him. He does look super fly with those Velcro thunder bird bowling shoes on! Am I right ladies??

Only a month behind, but we got to celebrate Chris' bday with an action packed bowling trip to Vinton. Our Vintonites didn't disappoint. We had a blast celebrating! I could have gone home satisfied without even stepping foot into the bowling alley seeing Chris like this, outside his car stretching. Serious business! Put your game face on!

Of course no bowling trip is complete without having lays chips to satisfy all the kiddos!

Here are some more action shots.

I love this pic, how Sissy is just hanging out, stranded in the highchair!

Those beautiful Collins ladies.

These 2 were just cracking us up. They go 6 months without seeing each other and they are just back to normal chasing each other all over the place, dancing, and such.

Proof for Tony,... Riley is hugging on Jackson too! :)

Have I mentioned how much I love our friends!?

Rockin!

Whoever said preschoolers couldn't rock obviously hasn't stepped foot in the Kane household!

Keira rocking out the air guitar!

Boy do these 2 have a ball when they are together!

7 Necessary things....

...that you need to have a successful day of putting up your Christmas tree....Jones style.
PS: Hope you have a notepad and pen to jot down notes for next year. hehe jk

#1: A Christmas tree farm that will open before selling hours for you.

#2: A manly man that can cut down your perfect tree.

3. A cute little 2 1/2 year old to help decorate.

....did I say help, I meant completely destroy half of the decorations when your back is turned.

4. A family night slumber party of sleeping with our tree. Silly saying, however we always have a sleep over the first night we get our tree. Oh an added bonus I'm sure you see, the nice (pshh) lights Josh put up on our curtains is just the holiday decorating touch, isn't it??

5. A wide range of snacks for an hungry family's appetite. Chex mix, puppy chow, shrimp (?), and pizza dip with pretzels. Random I know.

6. A beautiful finished project! Our short, fat Christmas tree. Where is our tree topper you asked? It always doesn't fit, so instead of buying a new one, the tree just never has one.

and last but not least...
7. Our sweet little man and his cute Christmas Jammers!
