Hello Mr. Easter Bunny!

Jackson had a visit to see the Easter Bunny at Tanglewood on Saturday. Can you tell he's just estatic!?

Mal & Pal took him and said he did really good. Didn't cry or anything but by the time the Easter Bunny started talking to him and it was picture time, he was not in the mood to smile. But hey, at least he was kicking and screaming! :)

The many faces of Jackson,...

Here are just a few of the sweet faces of our little boy....
1. The "1/2 smile" aka: the 1/2 cheezin it, 1/2 really smiling

2. The "I'm getting ready to rock this ball, watch out" look

3. The "I don't want to smile for another picture Mommy, are we don't yet?" smile

4. The "I just finished my first helping of a toaster strudel, may I have another please" look

and,.. 5. The "I melt your heart" smile. :)

Look familiar?

(Disregard the outfit b/c Jackson had just finished eating and his pants that matched that shirt had more food than was getting in his mouth.)

Does Jackson look familiar to you? I think he's taking 2 different traits from Mommy AND Daddy! All I've heard for 21 months is that Jackson looks SO much like his Daddy. Well look all! With the blackberry up to his ear (with a pink case might I add) I think he's finally starting to look like Mommy!

Of course he wouldn't be our child without kicking a ball around while talking on the phone though. :)

Confessions of a Soccer wife continued,...

My name is Kelly Jones and,....

-I have some pretty crafty friends. Just look what I learned to do! Thanks to Cam, Emily, and April; Jackson and I looked very stylish at Josh's game this week. As much as he'll hate me later for it,...we SO matched! Way to pacify your Mommy Jackson! :)

-I have learned to make it through Josh's soccer games I need just a few things: 1. some sort of ball (shocker) and 2. a snack bag of cheetos. I'm such a good mother.
-I have been putting off getting my driver's license renewed for about 2 months now. I have until April 11th. C'mon Kelly get motivated! Ugh, stupid vision test that is needed!
-I have not put together one page of Jackson's scrapbook! I have done a lot of baby book filling out, however nothing for his scrapbook. Where has my motivation gone?? His 2nd birthday is in June! Let's get started!
-I have been Starbucks free for one week! And yes, I have learned how to work my coffee maker (with the help of my mother). This also comes with saving at least $4 a day. Yippee!
Stayed tune for more confessions of a soccer wife! :)

Confessions of a soccer wife,...

I've decided that throughout soccer season, to have a little bit of an outlet I would start a weekly blog on some of my confessions. Thought it may be fun. Enjoy!

-My name is Kelly Jones and I have lost 14.2lbs in 2 months with weight watchers.
-My name is Kelly Jones and I secretly jam to Carrie Underwood in the car.
-My name is Kelly Jones and I love soccer season. I love watching Josh's games, being in the bleachers, and just being a part of it all. However I don't like the time Josh puts in to it.
-My name is Kelly Jones and my son gets into my car and immediately asks to listen to "Daddy Ups" (aka: Josh's warm up cd for school ball. For the record, there is no profanity, however I am SSSSOOO over listening to pump up music at 8am on the way to the sitter!)
-My name is Kelly Jones and I have carried the same purse for 9 months. People-this-is-a- SERIOUS-record. I am a pursaholic and love to switch purses as often as flossing my teeth.
-My name is Kelly Jones and I did finally break down and buy girl scout cookies last Saturday. One week later I have only eaten 2 cookies. Not bad when 2 boxes were purchased. I SO deserve a pat on the back.
-My name is Kelly Jones and I would rather spend $4 at Starbucks for a latte then learn how to work my high-tech coffee maker (sad,...I know).
-My name is Kelly Jones and today is my 2 year anniversary of the date that I was baptized.
-My name is Kelly Jones and as of today Josh and I have looked at 27 houses total in our new house search.

For my special "Soccer Wives"...

Happy Monday everyone. I just wanted to share something that Josh had made me for Christmas. He had printed the below cute poems and framed them for me. We just have started for the past couple years doing more "less expensive and creative" gifts for Christmas. Yes I know I am 3 months behind sharing this on the blog, however I wanted to wait for the appropriate time. You see, it's very meaningful and specifically during this season that we are beginning. To all my Soccer Wives,...this is for you as well. It's not easy being the "coach's wife" all the time. Just wanted to let you all know you are amazing and I love you all and I am praying for you all during this busy time of year!
"The Woman With No Name."

Who's that sitting there?
She's here for every game.
"Oh, she's just the coach's wife.
I can't recall her name."

That's all the recognition that
A coach's wife will get.
Unless she's very vocal
And with each call she throws a fit.

You're a housewife, working mother,
Assistant Coach and lover too.
And if time permits
There's more for you to do.

You sometimes feel you're third
On the list of things to do.
First, there's the game,
Then the kids, then maybe you.

You never have much money.
Sears and Penny's get your trade.
And just when you think you're settled
Another move is made.

You begin to wonder
If it's worth the pressure, hurt and pain.
And those silly kids
Go and win another game.

The home folks, they go crazy.
And you get a smile or two.
And it starts to make worth
All the things that you've been through.

One has or acquires many different qualities to be a coach's wife. Patience, kindness, and above all, the ability to hold one's tongue are all virtues of this lady. It isn't easy sitting in the stands and listening to many so-called "experts" give their opinion on what their husband should or should not be doing. Whether the team wins or loses, she is and remains her husband's biggest fan. The one person he can always count on. She listens to what might have gone wrong and serves as an assistant coach in the early morning hours. Many times, serving as a buffer, this lady saves quite a few of the players or fans from the brunt of their coach's anger.
To this woman with no name except that of "The Coach's Wife", we salute you.
