Blessed beyond measure!

Yesterday Josh, Jackson and I made our way to find out what baby #2 was going to be. We are overjoyed with excitement that Jackson is going to have a little brother!

I have such a ball with these 2, I can't wait to have a 3rd! Yes I am going to be out-numbered in our house-hehe, but I wouldn't change it one second. So excited to know and start planning. So incredibly thankful for a healthy baby boy.

My Handy Helper

"Jackson's bathroom" needed some updates recently so we decided we were going to be handy and fix them,...and when I say we I mean just Jackson and I. One thing that was needed desperately was a new toilet seat. Yes the yucky stuff we tool men have to fix, but it needed to be replaced so we broke out the tools and got to work!

First, I tried for probably 20 minutes to take the old seat off then decided I was going to quit being a hard headed and read the directions on the back of the new toilet seat we just bought... good idea huh? Jackson was such a patient sweet helper. He asked for the correct screwdrivers and happily helped getting his new potty seat in place! May not be the most glamorous thing I do as a mom but it was sweet having someone so happy to help me even if it was a gross job! So thankful for my happy little handy man!

Parent of the year award,...

Drum roll please,........
goes to "Josh Jones!!!!!"

Last weekend we decided to venture out to toys-r-us to find Sam and Charley some birthday presents. Sam was turning 4 and Charley was turning 2. After not much progress, I decided I'd branch off in the store to try to find something for Charley and left the boys searching for Sam a gift.

I came back with a cute set of jammies with a matching bow for Charley plus these cute little dress up princess slippers that she immediately put on after opening them.

After picking out my selection for Charley, this is what I find my husband with for Sam.
Notice if you look at the top right corner, the age suggestion is for "8 years and up". After literally 30 mintues of debating (fussing back and forth) Josh called Chris to get the okay from Sam's daddy at the same time I was calling Emily to make sure it was okay we buy it for him. Josh's huge selling point to me was the fact that it was the only one with a pair of safety glasses so he was protected. Sure, Sam was protected but what about his 2 year old sister, Charley!!
This is literally Josh on the phone with Chris getting the "ok". Oh and PS: yes I also came back from searching for Charley a gift with Jackson crusing around Toys-r-us in Buzz Lightyear's spaceship. Parent of the Year award winner right here people! This just makes me wonder what in the world they do when I'm not around!

To my dismay (b/c I hate being wrong), the nerf gun was a hit. Not just with Sam but with Chris too. Josh and Chris had it opened and had already made up a game for the crew on catching the nerf bullets as they are being fired at you. Yes, safety first with our friends,...we wore the safety glasses. The little ones even wanted in on the action. Jackson and Sam are JUST like their Daddy's back in the day. Look at Sam firing them at Jackson...notice he is wearing the glasses for safety.

Boys will be boys! *sigh*
