Generosity

Last week was a rough week for many reasons,...not going to completely go into it,...however there were circumstances that just really affected us tremendously. Josh always seems to keep a postive attitude and being optimistic on things, however my mood lately just has been a little down and upseting. We went to visit a Church yesterday and the service was focused on Wise Investments but tied in with Generosity. There were several quotes that I particularly loved. "We make a living with what we make. We make a life with what we give."- Winston Churchill. We were asked what our check book would say about us and also we were educated with many versus about how giving: draws you closer to God, increases your faith, has eternal value, is the best blessing, and brings joy. This particular bible versus was given out of many different(my favorite):

Proverbs 3:5-9
5-12 Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own.Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.Don't assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil!Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best.Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline; don't sulk under his loving correction. It's the child he loves that God corrects; a father's delight is behind all this.

Boy did I need to hear that one again. God completely knew what was placed on my heart lately! The music and message was very uplifting and I just felt a sense of relief on the past few days that had been so bad at the time.

Later yesterday evening, Josh and I went to dinner for my Mawmaw's 76th bday dinner! By the way, Happy Birthday Mawmaw!! :) We returned later that evening to boxes on our front steps. We assumed it was soccer items like it usually is... ex. shirts, balls,...whatever. Well Josh walked up to the front door as I was getting Jackson out of his car seat. To our amazement there were 2 huge boxes and brown paper bag FULL of groceries. Josh hollered at me and told me what it was with a big smile on his face. I just sat in the back seat crying while Jackson was still waiting patiently in his seat. What a blessing! :*) Very generous!! The cool thing was that there was no note or anything to indicate who the food was from. Is that not God's hand at work or what?!? No matter how big our storm is or what were going through God is always standing right beside us to fight through it!!

Thank you also to all our friends and family. You all are so important to us and thank you for being there for us. We are so thankful for you!! We are so incredibly blessed!! :)
