Of course I think my little boy is beautiful no matter what his skin looks. Our main issue was that it itched him NONSTOP! It was just extremely uncomfortable for him. After several pediatrician visits, TONS of copays, many & many more prescriptions to try we finally got a referral to take Jackson to a dermatologist and allergist,...both! :)
This is what the allergist appointment consisted of. Testing him for several things: dog, cat, peanut oil,....etc.
#1 was the only thing that showed up positive, which was just allergies in general. What kid now a days doesn't have allergies?
After taking both the allergist and dermatologist's recommendations, I'm so happy to say that Jackson's skin has been under control for a WHILE! With trying longer baths and bathing mostly daily has really helped. Also a cream called "cetaphil". If you have someone in your household who does have eczema, TRY THIS CREAM! We put it on Jackson at least twice daily!
We couldn't be happier! And as for our sweet 20 month old, he couldn't be more comfortable in his own skin! :)
