Jackson's 5 year old Letter

Jackson's 5 year old Letter

Jackson,

I type the number 5 and I'm still in disbelief.  5....5....how are you already five?!  You've hit such a big growth spurt in height recently,...but you're not suppose to be 5 yet.  When I was pregnant with you I got so tired of people coming up and telling me not to blink because it will fly by but I never really believed all of them.  I sure believe them now.  I even ask Daddy frequently, what was life like without you?

You are such a sweet boy!  Sensitive at times, but such a fun-loving, caring boy!  You are so polite and quiet at first.  To others you may come off a little stand-offish for some that don't know you.  That's just our Jackson.  Your "love language" is not to snuggle and talk for 20 minutes.  You want to be out and about and on the go.  You still enjoy soccer very much and baseball is becoming more apparent in our future for you.  Anytime we are in the back yard you want to hit and run around your bases.  You are very active and you get so excited to go to karate lessons twice a week.  It's neat to see you take on things that are not even familiar to us.  You are definitely coming into your own little person.

When I was little growing up I always saw friends with a big brother.  I always wanted a big brother.  Just a different, special bond it seemed from the outside looking at brothers.  You are such an amazing big brother.  So helpful, guiding, and patient with Kiptyn.  You instruct him on things and take your time and even praise him for his little accomplishments.  That must be the Coach Jones in you!  You are such a big help and so unselfish when it comes to your relationship with him.  It's pretty special!

Jackson I am so incredibly proud to be your Momma!  You are such a good boy and we continue to educate you constantly on making good decisions and it's so exciting to see you becoming your own little self and making wise choices even at the small age of 5.   I thank our Lord daily for having you as a son and continue to ask Him to guide you as you grow.

Love you bunches.
Momma
