A few of our firsts in the month of July!

The month of July has been CRAZY! With vacations, work, soccer, and everything else we have had several things happen that are a little out of the ordinary for the Jones family!

*Josh was selected to coach the State All-Star Team (P.S. HUGE honor) for the first time since he's being coaching high school ball at Salem (*cough*cough* eight years!)...so proud of him!

*While on the way to the All-Star game in Hampton, Josh got his 1st speeding ticket! :(

*I attended my first MLB game: Nats vs Cardinals

*Jackson got his first hair cut! Doesn't he look estatic?! He was not happy about it so we had to give him a bottle that squirted water and had grandmommy as a target to distract him! Thanks for taking one for the team Ma! haha

*Our family took our first vacation to a few busy hectic cities-Baltimore and DC!

*Josh broke his hand in 2 places (1st time he has broken any bones). Check out the cast, can we say HOTNESS! By the way I need to ad that this is the first time that I'm really playing mommy to now 2 boys! :) I love it though!

*I am attending and assisting Vacation Bible School for the first time. :) Helping out with the 3 year olds,...it's hectic but exciting! Amazing to see what God has in store for these little ones!

*Saw poppop flying his airplane! Daddy has been working so hard for his pilot license and I could not be more happy and proud of him. Here he is landing, might I add, "on his own". You are my hero!

*I saved one of my favorites for last. Jackson has been quite the monkey and chatter-box lately however will just call me momma or mom. He FINALLY said mommy! He has said SO many words and him saying mommy was one I have been waiting for! I know it doesn't seem like much and may seem silly but I was filled with so much joy. My heart melted!

Can't wait to see what new adventures August has in store for us! :)

Lost my brains,..

Seriously I think I have lost my brains with my pregnancy (with Jackson, no I'm not pregnant again)! All the coocoo things I have done recently,...

Did I seriously lock the keys in my car twice in one week? After going a whole year without a spare key and never locking them in there once! Seriously??

Did I seriously go to our church softball game and was late (of course),.. maybe 5-10 minutes late and walked in front of everyone with my fly down???

Did I seriously forget to get Ma's bday card when I went to the store specifically to get the card? Did I seriously get my husband to pick up a card while he was out? Seriously,... the card with a dog, and pooping on it? Seriously babe? The card is from everyone at work! Thanks for the gesture though!

Did I seriously offer Josh to take MY car with him to the all-star game this week? Riding in his car full of tissues and soccer equipment and,...ew. I got my car back and it has so much Mc. Donalds trash, drinks, jerseys,...seriously??

Did I seriously forget if I washed my hair or not while in the shower so I washed it again just in case?

Did I seriously think that I could go the back way (aka not interstate) from Jackson's allergist appt downtown Rke back to Salem without getting lost? Why didn't I just take 581 to 81? Did I seriously pull up mapquest on my blackberry on how to get back to Salem,...yep I did!

Did I seriously not think to but a raincoat on while giving Jackson a longer bath? HELLO soaked central!!

Am I the only mom who has these "mommy moments"??
