I'm just in awe!

Most of you who saw Jackson as a "wee little one" knew of his hard time with his skin. Around 6 months he had developed eczema...BAD! Does anyone recognize this boy?

Of course I think my little boy is beautiful no matter what his skin looks. Our main issue was that it itched him NONSTOP! It was just extremely uncomfortable for him. After several pediatrician visits, TONS of copays, many & many more prescriptions to try we finally got a referral to take Jackson to a dermatologist and allergist,...both! :)

This is what the allergist appointment consisted of. Testing him for several things: dog, cat, peanut oil,....etc.

#1 was the only thing that showed up positive, which was just allergies in general. What kid now a days doesn't have allergies?

After taking both the allergist and dermatologist's recommendations, I'm so happy to say that Jackson's skin has been under control for a WHILE! With trying longer baths and bathing mostly daily has really helped. Also a cream called "cetaphil". If you have someone in your household who does have eczema, TRY THIS CREAM! We put it on Jackson at least twice daily!

We couldn't be happier! And as for our sweet 20 month old, he couldn't be more comfortable in his own skin! :)

Bad news & good news,...

First off with the bad news,... I'm a little late on this so if most of you don't know, I'll be your shoulder to cry on....

MY COLTS LOST! :(

Superbowl Sunday was a big fat bummer for me! I was so excited that my team was back in the superbowl. However, I am going to put on record that I am very happy for the Saints. New Orleans really needed this and I am glad they have a Superbowl Championship now.

I did get festive for the evening and made some yummy football treats. I ran out of the white icing to make the laces for the footballs so I put some star confetti on the others. Those were the footballs for the girls! :)

Ah, my poor family (minus Daddy). I think everyone but Josh and Jackson are wearing something that either is mine or I gave them. That's love I tell ya! (P.S. Also just in case you didn't see in the background on the right there is a blow up football that I hung from doors to create a "football mistletoes"-haha, I'm such a dork I know)

Mommy/daughter shot

And now for the GOOD NEWS! Most of you know, I started weightwatchers 5 weeks ago to try to get motivated to lose weight. I know, I know,...19months later from having my first child, I'm finally now motivated. Went this past Saturday morning to "weigh in" and I have lost.....

Drumroll please...............................................................................

.........................................................................

...9.2lbs!!!!!

Sorry I had to share because I was super pumped. 9.2 down, 15 more to go! :)

Goodbye Glenmore Dr

For the past week we have been working on packing up and moving out of our house. We found renters and they are now living there. We 3, are staying with my parents til we find a house we'd like to make an offer on. It's a very exciting experience for us, however it is a little sad because it was our first home as a family of 3. We had our wonderful realtor take a pic of us in front of the house as we said goodbye!

We spent a good week packing, moving, and cleaning to have the house ready. We had amazing help from this cute little 19 month old. He is a professional with the swiffer duster!

Before taking down everything, I did get sentimental and took TONS of pics. This was Jackson's first room. Got me to "reminiscing" on how his room started. I had told Josh that I really wanted to paint Jackson's room a different color (which at that time I was pregnant). He said that was fine as long as it was a neutral color and I got the safe paint that I could paint with. So, here Emily and I go shopping at Sherwin-Williams with a sample of Jackson's sports theme room. Well we spent about 45 minutes in there debating whether to get a neutral color like I had agreed to or not. I guess from the picture you can tell, I did not go by my husband's wishes and we picked out the color in Josh's words we he came home and saw Buddy's walls completely painted in "doodoo green". I told him if he didn't like it he was welcome to paint over it himself. To end our story, it has stayed "doodoo green". I think it gave his room more of a personality don't you? I did learn some serious painting techniques on our excursion too. Oh what a fun and memorable day!

Saying goodbye to our old house...we decided to say hello to a big boy bed! We thought since we had to take down Buddy's crib we'd put it together as a toddler bed. He seems to really like it. I've read that when transitioning kiddos from crib to toddler bed to really talk it up. Get excited calling it "Jackson's big boy bed! :)". So far Jackson has been sleeping in his big boy bed for 8 days and only 1 was unsuccessful. Josh came in one morning to find Jackson asleep on the floor in the corner of the room-haha!

Now it's time to start some serious house hunting!

What faith can do.

I had a rough day last Tuesday. Needed a little bit of an uplift and got in the car and this song was on the radio as I started the car. Glad God knew I needed this. Such a motivating song and I wanted to share it. Please take the time to listen. Just click on the link below but remember to stop/pause my playlist at the bottom right. Have a good week fellow bloggers (or stalkers-haha :) ).

"Fwiends"

Lately Jackson not only has bonded with friends at his sitter's and our friend's/family's kids. He has also developed a extremely close knit with these friends:

May I be the first to introduce you to: Bunny, Mr. Pig, Tigger, & Monkey (I know really original names, but hey, he's 19months)

Jackson LOVES his "friends". He takes them everywhere with him. When he wakes up we can now not hear him scream "DADDY" "MMMMAAAAMMMMMAAAAAA". It's now whispers of him speaking to his friends. When we get him up and take him to eat some breakfast,...who has to come? That's right, his "fwiends". He sits them in the other 2 table chairs to eat with him. And say prayers with him. Is he not just precious??

At night we can hear him telling each of his "fwiends" night night in his crib. So happy that our little boy has such a creative imagination.

Introducing,...Ryan Aislynn :)

I am super excited to report that we have a new niece. Ryan Aislynn Jones was born last Monday evening. Weighing 8.5lbs & 19 inches! She is beautiful! She's got gorgeous eyes, a precious nose, and a head full of hair which I think is fabulous. She is such a blessing. We brought Jackson over to meet her for the first time on Sunday evening. He was so intrigued with her. Every time she was taken out of the room, he followed not far behind calling out and pointing "BABY, BABY, BABY!". :) Mom and Dad are both doing good. They are both glowing with excitement over their bundle of joy! Meghann has even started her baby books,..way to go Mommy! Congrats Meghann and Zack! Ryan is amazing! Enjoy the slide show below of our most recent vist with the Jones family of 3!

Not me Saturday,...

(a spin off from Emily's "Not me Mondays")

*Not me Saturday*

I did not let my son look through the Saturday paper searching in the classified/cars section. HELLO,...the child is only 19 months not 16!

I did not allow my son to put down his spoon and start eating his corn with his hands (oops I mean shovel his corn with his hands).

I certainly did not let the dishes get so dirty that they overflowed the sink, in which made me need to use a souvenir Las Vegas shot class to hold Buddy’s goldfish as a snack.

I did not go out shopping the whole day with Ma and Jackson and had Jackson and I matching in our Colts gear. PS go Peyton!

Oh and I absolutely did not join weight watchers last Saturday. And did not have my first weigh in this Saturday and lost 3.2lbs! Yay! :)
